APPLE SET TO LAUNCH 13-INCH MACBOOK PRO ON OCT 23

For Apple Fans, this is certainly going to be a double bonanza. If reports are to be believed Apple plans to launch the 13-inch MacBook Pro codenamed D1, with Retina Display at its event stipulated for October 23.

FUJIFILM TO SELL 2.5 LAKH CAMERAS IN INDIA IN FY13

New Delhi: Japanese camera maker Fujifilm on Tuesday said it is targeting over 35 per cent growth in the Indian market this fiscal, aiming to sell up to 2.5 lakh units.

BYOND TECH LAUNCHES TABLET RANGE

New Delhi: Pune-based Byond Tech Electronics on Tuesday launched its series of tablet PCs priced between Rs 4,300 and Rs 11,000.

"We are targeting sales of a million in a year...In the area of tablets PCs and smartphones, we have already invested USD 10 million and in the next one year, we plan to double the spend," Byond Tech Electronic Sales Director Manish Jain said.

The 3D-devices come across 7, 9 and 10-inch screens, are powered by Android operating system and have SIM card slots.

The tablet PCs are manufactured at the company's facility in Pune, which has a capacity of 100,000 tablet PCs and 400,000 mobile phones a month.

Byond is also looking at launching Android-powered mobile handsets across 3.5-5-inch screens soon.

The company claims to have sold 20 lakh mobile handsets since 2009.

APPLE'S IPAD MINI MAY HIT THE STORES ON NOV 2

New Delhi/London: Although it has just been a day of tech giant Apple sending out invites for a special event on October 23, at which the firm is likely to unveil a smaller version of its iPad, rumour mills have again started to propel news.

Reports have it that the new iPad mini is likely to hit stores as early as November 02.

The invite, headlined ''We've got a little more to show you'', said the Apple event will take place on October 23rd at the California Theater in San Jose, close to San Francisco.

According to the Telegraph, Apple is widely expected to unveil a new, smaller iPad at next week''s event.

The new device is expected to have a 7.85-inch screen, compared with the existing iPad''s 10-inch display, the paper said.

Some reports have suggested that Apple will upgrade the existing iPad to include the same lightning charging socket as the iPhone 5, which was announced last month.

Other reports have said that Apple is also planning to release a version of its 13-inch MacBook Pro that will have a high resolution Retina display.

INDIA'S FIRST DUAL SIM ANDROID TABLET BY SWIPE AT RS 12,000

New Delhi: Swipe, a California based mobile brand launched India's first dual SIM based Android tablet at Rs 12,000.

The 7 inch tablet called as— Swipe Tab All In One— is expected to hit the stores this Diwali as per reports.

The tablet boasts of dual GSM capable network connectivity allowing users to have two SIMs at the same time and enables both SIM calling and SMS functionality.
